Ultra seltener stromlinienförmiger Vintage Anhänger der Marke, Bowlus Road Chief, Baujahr 1935, Vorgänger vom legendären Airstream.

1935 Bowlus Road Chief, just arrived.
One of only 82 ever made (not counting current reproductions).
One of 44 known to exist.
One of 24 known still to be in USA.
Original unrestored condition.
At some point leaking original windows were replaced with rectangular Hehr (probably around mid 50s).
Needs total restoration, but it is all original and have original interior.
No title due to age. Bill of sale only.
Body is appr 6′ wide, 8′ tall and 19′ long

Made by Hawley Bowlus, guy who built the Spirit of St. Louis. Bowlus is a very light trailer with a low center of gravity, aerodynamic and built as the airlanes of its time. Airstream trailer owes its existence to the Road Chief. The Airstream company was founded by Wally Byam who was former Bowlus marketer. In 2011 a 1935 Bowlus was sold for $187,000 at the Gooding & Co
